As a partner publisher, you might be asking "when am I ready to launch and sell my product?" As a rule of thumb, we recommend that you build a reserve of at least 12 lessons, i.e. (a month of lesson publishing content) before you launch. These lessons ideally should cover a range of levels, especially newbie, elementary and intermediate. Please make sure that all the 12 lessons are completed with all the content entered, uploaded, generated and quality checked on the lesson page. On the lesson page itself, please complete every tab with the exception of "Lesson Plans" which are designed for designing and uploading plans that teachers can use with their students during class. If you don't have the expertise to write lesson plans, you may leave it blank. However, all the other tabs are essential for your students. So please make sure they are complete.
Here is a checklist of items to help you prepare for launch:
1. Finish a month worth of lessons (audio files, text, annotation, graphics, tags, exercise which requires you to configure your lesson exercise, etc all included)
2. QC. You should do this from a student's point of view, i.e. don't QC in publisher zone. Contact OpenLanguage for a voucher code to have student access to your channel. And do QC from a student's end.
3. Create a complimentary course to let users try out your product. This course should contain around a dozen of lessons you've finished for the first month. Make sure that you have lessons for different levels. You can create the complimentary course on the Course page.
5. Publish a blog post in publisher zone to introduce your team, your approach and your hopes for the product. This could be seen as your About and Team page.
Last but not least, DETAILS matter. That means if you are missing a lesson image or a lesson exercise, students will notice. Give them a great experience instead. And if you need any clarification or assistance with completing any of the above steps, please contact OpenLanguage before launch. Don't launch a broken product.
