Some languages, such as French, Arabic, and Spanish require special characters that are not included in a standard U.S. English keyboard. In this tutorial, we'll explain how to change your computer's keyboard settings.
1. Click on the Apple icon on the top-left corner of your desktop screen and select System Preferences.
2. After the System Preferences window opens up, click on the icon called Language & Text.
3. On Language & Text click on the tab called Input Sources (A). Scroll down the Input Source Menu (B) until you find the language you need and simply check the box besides it (C).
4. Your new keyboard is now set! To change between keyboards, simply click on the Language Icon on your main toolbar (it can be a flag or something else that represents the active input source) and select the one you require from the list.
